![]() Alongside Janai and the surviving Sunfire Elves, Amaya journeyed to the Storm Spire on the Twin-Tailed Inferno-Tooth Tiger Embertail, where she was reunited with her nephews and prepared to protect Zubeia and Azymondias from Viren. Amaya was able to stop Janai from committing a suicidal attack on Viren by empathizing with the loss of her sister. However, Viren was able to corrupt the Sunforge with 's help and killed Khessa in the process. Amaya was terrified when she learned that Viren was in Lux Aurea and persuaded Janai to free her to stop the dark mage from inflicting harm. Amaya's pure heart spared her from execution and she was returned to her cell. But after Janai divulged their encounter, Khessa ordered Pharos to subject Amaya to "the Light" to reveal her true nature. Exasperated, Janai brought Amaya to her sister Queen Khessa, who wished to see the general disposed of. Amaya was imprisoned in Lux Aurea with Kazi as her interpreter, though she refused to reveal why the Standing Battalion was at the Border. She chose to rescue Janai from falling to the lava before surrendering to the Sunfire Elves. Although the feat was successful, Amaya was trapped on the other side of the Border. However, Janai managed to cut the cable, which forced Amaya to detonate the explosive barrels herself. Upon reuniting with Gren and learning that Viren was arrested for treason and that Katolis could not send reinforcements, Amaya resorts to destroying the Breach to separate the Human Kingdoms and Xadia permanently. Amaya and Fen choose to check on their Xadian outpost for more potential threats and barely escaped Janai's ambush. Īmaya is patrolling the Breach where she encounters and battles a troop of Sunfire Elves led by Janai before escaping. ![]() Amaya chastises Viren for attempting to usurp Harrow's throne and decides to put Gren in command of the castle before returning to the Border. After an intense confrontation, Amaya lets Rayla go with her nephews before secretly sending Corvus to follow them from a distance while she and Gren head to Katolis to stop Viren's coronation. First Saga Īmaya rides to the Banther Lodge alongside several soldiers to check on Callum and Ezran when she notices the presence of Rayla. Her second in command, Commander Gren, had become a close friend and a sign language interpreter for her. Īmaya has since risen to general and leader of Katolis's Standing Battalion and has been entrusted to guard the human side of the Border at the fortress located there. It can be deduced Amaya's hatred of Xadians stemmed from that incident. Amaya made it past the Border, but during the retreat, Annika, Neha, and Sarai were killed by the Dragon King. ![]() Harrow stood by his decision, and true to Viren's fears, Avizandum arrived and attacked them. When Harrow refused, unwilling to leave men behind especially since Sarai offered to stay with them, Viren accused Harrow that if Amaya was not related to Sarai, he would have followed his advice. Due to the burden of transporting the wounded presented, Viren told Harrow that they must be left behind in order to avoid Avizandum, the King of the Dragons. ![]() Amaya participated in the expedition and although it ended with success, she was injured during the fight against the Magma Titan. When Duren and Katolis were threatened with starvation, King Harrow led an expedition into Xadia to retrieve the heart of a Magma Titan, which was needed for a dark magic ritual to end the famine in Duren and bring fertility to both kingdoms. Amaya developed a loving and protective relationship with both of them over the years. She became an aunt when Sarai gave birth to Amaya's first nephew, Callum, and then to her second nephew, Ezran, after Sarai's marriage to Harrow. Despite being born deaf, she became a warrior along with Sarai, and was acquainted with King Harrow and Lord Viren. Amaya was born inside Katolis on August 21st, a couple of years after her older sister Sarai. ![]()
