Alongside Janai and the surviving Sunfire Elves, Amaya journeyed to the Storm Spire on the Twin-Tailed Inferno-Tooth Tiger Embertail, where she was reunited with her nephews and prepared to protect Zubeia and Azymondias from Viren. Amaya was able to stop Janai from committing a suicidal attack on Viren by empathizing with the loss of her sister. However, Viren was able to corrupt the Sunforge with 's help and killed Khessa in the process. Amaya was terrified when she learned that Viren was in Lux Aurea and persuaded Janai to free her to stop the dark mage from inflicting harm. Amaya's pure heart spared her from execution and she was returned to her cell. But after Janai divulged their encounter, Khessa ordered Pharos to subject Amaya to "the Light" to reveal her true nature. Exasperated, Janai brought Amaya to her sister Queen Khessa, who wished to see the general disposed of. Amaya was imprisoned in Lux Aurea with Kazi as her interpreter, though she refused to reveal why the Standing Battalion was at the Border. She chose to rescue Janai from falling to the lava before surrendering to the Sunfire Elves. Although the feat was successful, Amaya was trapped on the other side of the Border. However, Janai managed to cut the cable, which forced Amaya to detonate the explosive barrels herself. Upon reuniting with Gren and learning that Viren was arrested for treason and that Katolis could not send reinforcements, Amaya resorts to destroying the Breach to separate the Human Kingdoms and Xadia permanently. Amaya and Fen choose to check on their Xadian outpost for more potential threats and barely escaped Janai's ambush. Īmaya is patrolling the Breach where she encounters and battles a troop of Sunfire Elves led by Janai before escaping. Amaya chastises Viren for attempting to usurp Harrow's throne and decides to put Gren in command of the castle before returning to the Border. After an intense confrontation, Amaya lets Rayla go with her nephews before secretly sending Corvus to follow them from a distance while she and Gren head to Katolis to stop Viren's coronation. First Saga Īmaya rides to the Banther Lodge alongside several soldiers to check on Callum and Ezran when she notices the presence of Rayla. Her second in command, Commander Gren, had become a close friend and a sign language interpreter for her. Īmaya has since risen to general and leader of Katolis's Standing Battalion and has been entrusted to guard the human side of the Border at the fortress located there. It can be deduced Amaya's hatred of Xadians stemmed from that incident. Amaya made it past the Border, but during the retreat, Annika, Neha, and Sarai were killed by the Dragon King. Harrow stood by his decision, and true to Viren's fears, Avizandum arrived and attacked them. When Harrow refused, unwilling to leave men behind especially since Sarai offered to stay with them, Viren accused Harrow that if Amaya was not related to Sarai, he would have followed his advice. Due to the burden of transporting the wounded presented, Viren told Harrow that they must be left behind in order to avoid Avizandum, the King of the Dragons. Amaya participated in the expedition and although it ended with success, she was injured during the fight against the Magma Titan. When Duren and Katolis were threatened with starvation, King Harrow led an expedition into Xadia to retrieve the heart of a Magma Titan, which was needed for a dark magic ritual to end the famine in Duren and bring fertility to both kingdoms. Amaya developed a loving and protective relationship with both of them over the years. She became an aunt when Sarai gave birth to Amaya's first nephew, Callum, and then to her second nephew, Ezran, after Sarai's marriage to Harrow. Despite being born deaf, she became a warrior along with Sarai, and was acquainted with King Harrow and Lord Viren. Amaya was born inside Katolis on August 21st, a couple of years after her older sister Sarai.

If you're really struggling with morning sickness - say, you've lost at least 5 pounds or can't keep anything down for more than eight hours - ask your doctor whether you should take a pregnancy anti-nausea drug like Zofran or Diclegis. What’s more, Frick in his will stipulated that “the entire public should forever have access” to the art, an astonishingly liberal concept for the day. What kind of man would leave us this extraordinary legacy? His $117 million bequest to the public (roughly $2.3 billion today) was the largest in American history, and a story, according to PBS‘s Treasures of New York, of remarkable wealth and unprecedented generosity. To understand the vision we must consider the man whose life, thoughts, and experiences led him to this collection. Salomon, Chief Curator of The Frick Collection, noting that a Frick picture is calm and elegant, a thing of extreme beauty. The Frick is the vision of this one man, says Xavier F. Schreiner summarizes, the span of Frick’s adult years “corresponded almost exactly with that of the fantastic period of explosive growth in material wealth that made the United States the richest, most powerful nation on earth.” Of the immense fortunes of Morgan, Mellon, Rockefeller, and Carnegie, Frick’s was second only to Rockefeller’s, calculates Forbes. The late 19th century’s Gilded Age had produced unprecedented wealth for a few legendary corporate titans who worked together and knew one another well. Yet The Frick’s serenity today belies a history of labor violence, corporate contention, bitter family disputes, and even a Rasputin-like attempted assassination of Henry Clay Frick himself. When it opened in 1915 Architecture Magazine called it the most costly and sumptuous house in America. There’s no other remotely comparable museum in New York, or perhaps anywhere else on the planet. It pulls you in a magical way out of the din of the daily life of New York into its formal intimacy and serenity. Whatever Frick’s hopes for simplicity, the house is one of palatial grandeur, says Metropolitan Museum Director Emeritus Philippe de Montebello. Frick’s instruction to Hastings had been to build him “a small house with plenty of light and air,” one that would be “simple, in good taste, and not ostentatious.” Architectural critic Dino Marcantonio calls the house a work of art in its own right, worthy of its own visit. His architect, Thomas Hastings of Carrère and Hastings, embellished the rooms with carvings of ancient symbolism, including acanthus leaves indicating long life (which Frick did not obtain) and laurel representing victory (which was often his). And what a museum it is! It also recently had a starring role in the HBO Max television show The Undoing.įrick furnished his 61-room house with Rococo and Renaissance furniture, and accumulated superb decorative arts, including Limoges enamels, Meissen porcelain, and Italian bronzes. The Frick Collection bestows the extraordinary benefit of letting patrons sit and contemplate Henry Clay Frick’s legendary collection of old masters in his serene mansion-all the big names are here-at least until the museum closes for an extensive renovation in 2020. “The Met is admired, but the Frick is beloved,” says architecture critic Paul Goldberger, comparing New York City’s largest and wealthiest museum with its reserved Fifth Avenue neighbor a few blocks to the south. If you start installing all your software inside the WSL what are you using Windows for? Just to run Teams and Office Applications? ) But this is another offtopic discussion I think. For private use, running PHPStorm in WSL might be the better decission. Running ddev start and using the browser to access your project is very simple and great, but you want features like CLI Debugging, GUI for test execution and result visualization and other stuff PHPStorm offers as well of course.Īctually, JetBrains is very happy to have people running their tools inside WSL2 because they get 1000 less complaints per day :) To use it in company it has to be more simple to integrate in PHPStorm so you can let a junior dev checkout a project and start working without much knowledge about docker / ddev / PHPStorm. I already work with this setup for smaller private projects and I am very happy with all the features ddev offers and how simple it is to use.īut I would like to use it also in our company. Also the wsl indexing performance of PHPStorm was improved a lot with the last update by, so I am quite happy with my setup. This combines a good usability of PHPStorm in my windows environment and a good performance of my application since WSL -> docker does not need a nfs share or anything like that. Currently I have PHPStorm installed on Windows, my project is located in WSL. ddev as there should be all information needed to configure a remote interpeter, ssh sessions and so on but sadly I do not know anyone who is able to write such a plugin. I think for "auto configuration" you would need a PHPStorm plugin that is able to parse everything inside. This seems to work for non WSL environments already and as you can see in the video in the PHPStorm ticket, it also works for relative paths in WSL. I hoped using the docker-compose-full file and configuring phpstorm once per project would work. If you work in a team every team member wpuld need to do those steps for each project they work on.Įven if you automate these steps in a script if feels strange and not well integrated. update the dumped docker-compose file regulary, as the configuration might change (I think?).configure remote interpreter (which is also quite complicated instead of the auto configures vagrant stuff).replace port definitions (fixed in 2021.2).remove debugging output from the first line.I know it is already possible, but the way to achieve this is currently quite complicated and especially for "newbies" very difficult. Means I run ddev start and afterwards I want to be able to use all the phpstorm features that are availabe for vagrant environments, like running single tests by clicking the play button beside their definition, or debugging code in cli environment. I would like to accomplish a "vagrant like" setup. It lets you look at each piece of data and pick up what you want. That’s where this cool PhoneRescue iOS feature comes in.
